Let's be honest, there is something undeniably magical about a beautifully dressed wedding venue. The moment the doors open and you step into a space prepared just for you, with the lights low, the flowers in full bloom, and your guests already seated and waiting, that feeling is hard to replicate anywhere else. And in Singapore, that magic isn't reserved for grand hotel ballrooms alone. Some of the most heartfelt weddings we've documented have taken place in a neighbourhood Multi-Purpose Hall, with the whole community pitching in.

Over the years, we at Natasha Kasim Photography have had the privilege of documenting wedding days across some of Singapore's most stunning venues, from grand ballrooms to cherished community spaces. Each one photographs differently, feels differently, and lends itself to its own kind of story. So if you're a couple in the midst of shortlisting venues and feeling overwhelmed by the choices, we hope this guide helps narrow things down a little.

1. Changi Cove

Romantic garden photoshoot with soft pink bokeh effects and natural lighting.

If your dream wedding feels less like a grand ballroom affair and more like something intimate, whimsical, and surrounded by nature, Changi Cove might just be the one. Tucked away in a quiet corner of eastern Singapore along Cranwell Road, it's the kind of venue that surprises you the moment you arrive.

The star of the show is the Auditorium, a 4,000-square-foot pillarless space with warm, earthy tones and a two-storey glass window that looks out onto a lush green slope. It's woody, it's whimsical, and it photographs beautifully. The venue seats up to 220 guests in its signature long-table setting, which feels romantic and communal all at once, like a wedding feast pulled straight from a fairytale.

For smaller celebrations, The Conservatory offers a more intimate setting for up to 70 guests, bathed in natural light with sleek, understated interiors. Changi Cove's bespoke "Wedding Naturalist" series means every package is custom-tailored, and the team's reputation for personal, genuine hospitality makes the planning journey itself feel like a pleasure. If you love nature and don't want your wedding to look like every other ballroom in Singapore, this is your place.

2. Amaris D'Arena

Romantic picnic setup on lush green lawn with white blanket and wicker basket.

Tucked in Upper Jurong, Amaris D'Arena might just be one of Singapore's best-kept secrets when it comes to wedding venues. Completed in 2021, this purpose-built ballroom was designed with weddings in mind from the ground up, and it shows.

What sets it apart is its combination of scale and intimacy. The space spans just under 600 square metres with a stunning curved ceiling and, crucially, no pillars, which means unobstructed sightlines for every guest and no awkward angles for your photographer. The mega chandeliers and customised wall lighting panels create that warm, golden glow we love to photograph in, and the venue can comfortably seat up to 320 guests.

Amaris D'Arena is also a full-service venue, handling everything from catering to décor in-house, which makes the planning process that much smoother. If you're after a venue that feels lavish without being cold, this one is worth a visit.

And if you're looking to have your wedding photography and videography covered too, we at Natasha Kasim Photography offer an all-inclusive wedding package with Amaris D'Arena, so you can have one less thing to worry about on your big day. Reach out to us to find out more.

3. PARKROYAL on Beach Road

Centrally located in the Bugis area, just steps from Bugis and Nicoll Highway MRT stations, PARKROYAL on Beach Road is a firm favourite among couples who want a touch of city glamour without sacrificing convenience for their guests.

The hotel offers two stunning options: the Grand Ballroom, with its seven-metre-high ceiling and unique hollow chandeliers, perfect for larger, more dramatic celebrations, and the Sky Ballroom, which is flooded with natural light through a full glass wall overlooking lush greenery, ideal for a softer, more intimate affair. Both ballrooms are pillarless, so there's plenty of room to play with layout and photography angles, and both can accommodate sizeable guest lists with ease.

It's the kind of venue that feels effortlessly elegant from the moment your guests walk in.

4. Otelia Bay at Changi Beach Club

Panoramic view of historic white colonial buildings with red roofs set against green landscape.

For the couple who wants the warmth and beauty of an indoor ballroom plus the romance of the sea, Otelia Bay is in a category of its own.

Located within Changi Beach Club, this is Singapore's only luxury seafront wedding venue, and the views across the water are absolutely breathtaking. Imagine your reception bathed in soft golden hour light with the ocean stretching out behind you. It's the kind of backdrop that turns wedding photos into something truly cinematic.

5. Lagun Sari

Wedding celebration in a bright greenhouse with natural lighting and hanging plants.

For over two decades, Lagun Sari has been one of Singapore's most trusted names in Malay wedding planning, and with good reason. What began as a mission to elevate traditional celebrations into something truly memorable has grown into a beloved institution for Muslim couples across the island.

What makes Lagun Sari special isn't just one venue: it's a portfolio of beautifully appointed ballrooms and function spaces across different parts of Singapore, from Bukit Timah Plaza's Royal Hall (which can accommodate up to 1,000 guests) to the Amara Sanctuary at Sentosa and the elegant Seletar Country Club setting. Whichever location suits your guest list and aesthetic, Lagun Sari's experienced wedding coordinators will walk with you every step of the way, from the first enquiry to the final dance.

6. Furama RiverFront

Garden pond with lily pads surrounded by greenery and brick borders.

If a grand, hotel ballroom wedding is what you've always envisioned, Furama RiverFront on Havelock Road is a strong contender. Located in the Robertson Quay area along the Singapore River, the hotel offers a range of event spaces, but it's the pillarless Venus Grand Ballroom that takes the breath away.

With seating for over 500 guests, a state-of-the-art LED screen, and a spacious foyer for pre-dinner mingling and photographs, the Venus Grand Ballroom has the kind of grandeur that makes a wedding feel like a true occasion. For smaller celebrations, the Waterfall Lounge offers a more intimate and atmospheric alternative.

7. HomeTeamNS Khatib

Romantic garden photoshoot with soft pink bokeh effects and natural lighting.

Not every couple dreams of a grand hotel ballroom, and if you're after something a little more accessible, community-hearted, and genuinely affordable without compromising on atmosphere, HomeTeamNS Khatib is worth a serious look.

The draw here is sheer scale and clarity: a pillar-free Grand Ballroom spanning over 1,000 square metres, with high ceilings and clean, bright lighting throughout. The floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the pool let in a wonderful wash of natural light, and the layout is flexible enough to seat anywhere from 50 to 800 guests. The whole space is fully air-conditioned, well-maintained, and comes with solid AV support.

What we love about this venue from a photography perspective is exactly that: the high ceilings and clean lighting give us a beautifully open canvas to work with, free of the dim, low-ceiling feel some function spaces can have. It's also wonderfully practical for guests: ample parking, easy access right beside Khatib MRT, and the kind of relaxed, welcoming environment that puts everyone at ease. HomeTeamNS members also enjoy additional discounts on bookings, which is always a welcome bonus.

8. Peppermint at PARKROYAL COLLECTION Marina Bay

Two people lean out of a yellow vintage train car on railway tracks surrounded by lush greenery.

For the couple who wants something truly elevated, with a setting that feels as beautiful in person as it does in photographs, Peppermint at PARKROYAL COLLECTION Marina Bay is in a league of its own.

Situated on Level 4 of Singapore's iconic "Garden-in-a-Hotel," Peppermint is a stunning all-day dining restaurant that doubles as one of Singapore's most sought-after wedding venues. The space is surrounded by the hotel's signature lush greenery at every turn, with a garden terrace backdrop that makes every photograph feel like it was taken somewhere far more exotic than a city hotel. And because the hotel's buffet stations and kitchen are halal-certified, Muslim couples can celebrate fully and freely, a detail that matters deeply.

The food, crafted using ingredients from the hotel's rooftop Urban Farm, is genuinely exceptional: the kind of spread your guests will talk about long after the day is over. Whether you're hosting an intimate solemnisation lunch or a full wedding reception dinner, Peppermint's team is known for their meticulous care and smooth execution. This is the kind of venue that makes everyone feel special, from the couple to the last guest in the room.

9. Your Neighbourhood MPH or Void Deck

Bride and groom holding hands walking along a sandy beach with calm ocean waves in the background.

There is a particular kind of magic that happens when a wedding is held right at home, in the Multi-Purpose Hall or void deck of the very neighbourhood the couple grew up in. It's one of the most cherished and time-honoured traditions in Malay weddings here in Singapore, and honestly, some of our favourite photographs have come from exactly these settings.

What makes an MPH or void deck wedding so special isn't polish, it's heart. The fairy lights strung up by uncles and aunties, the rented pelamin assembled with care, the neighbours who pop by even before they're properly invited, the smell of nasi minyak wafting from the dapur set up just outside, this is community in its purest form. And because the space is so familiar, the day often feels more relaxed and unguarded, which makes for the kind of in-between, candid moments we love capturing most: a grandmother adjusting the bride's veil, children running between the tables, the groom's friends helping to set up chairs at the eleventh hour.

From a planning perspective, MPH and void deck weddings are also wonderfully flexible and budget-friendly, with bookings typically made through your local Town Council. It's proof that you don't need a grand ballroom to have a grand celebration, sometimes, the most beautiful weddings are the ones held closest to home.

Booking: Through your respective Town Council (HDB)

The right venue is the one where you walk in and immediately feel like yourselves: relaxed, excited, and ready. Don't be afraid to visit a venue more than once at different times of day, and always think about how the lighting will feel during your actual event time.
