We love a good golden hour shoot as much as the next photographer, but can we let you in on a little secret? Some of our favourite frames happen after the sun goes down. There is something about Singapore at night, the cooler air, the glow of the city, the way couples finally loosen up once the crowds thin out, that makes for the most cinematic, intimate photos.

If you have been scrolling through Natasha Kasim Photography's feed wondering where all those moody, after-dark shots are taken, this one is for you. From grand marble staircases to a hidden underpass most people have forgotten, here are 9 of our favourite night spots for your pre or post-wedding shoot.

1. National Gallery

Romantic garden photoshoot with soft pink bokeh effects and natural lighting.

When you think grand and timeless, the National Gallery delivers. Once the Supreme Court and City Hall, this beauty turns all kinds of dreamy after dark. Think glowing neoclassical columns, sweeping marble staircases, and shadows that fall in all the right places. It is elegant, it is editorial, and honestly, it does half the work for you.

2. Esplanade Park Underpass near Anderson Bridge

Romantic picnic setup on lush green lawn with white blanket and wicker basket.

Now for one of our best-kept secrets. There is an almost forgotten underpass at Esplanade Park, near Anderson Bridge, the one we used to take to cross over to Victoria Memorial Hall before the roads got so busy. Most people walk right past it these days, which is exactly why we love it. Those tiled walls and that low, steady light give off the moodiest, most cinematic feel, like a little in-between world that belongs just to the two of you.

Good to know: It is quiet and fully covered, which makes it a rather handy rain-friendly backup too.

3. Your Hotel Room

Hear us out: you do not always have to go far. Some of the most intimate frames we capture happen right in your hotel room. Picture soft lamplight, crisp sheets, a robe over the chair, and the two of you finally still after a long day. We lean right into that moody, luxe vibe here and let the warm light do the talking. Psst, a room with a city view? Now you are really talking.

Good to know: Rooms with big windows and warm lamps photograph best. Switch off the harsh overhead lights and we will work our magic with the cosy glow.

4. Helix Bridge

Panoramic view of historic white colonial buildings with red roofs set against green landscape.

If the National Gallery is old-world charm, the Helix is pure city sparkle. The double helix lights up beautifully at night, with Marina Bay glittering behind you. It is modern, it is romantic, and it gives your gallery that unmistakable Singapore skyline moment.

Good to know: It gets breezy and can be busy on weekends, so a weeknight shoot is your friend here.

5. The CBD Area

Wedding celebration in a bright greenhouse with natural lighting and hanging plants.

Once the office crowd clocks off, the financial district turns into our playground. Glass towers become mirrors, the streets empty out, and everything takes on that sleek, filmesque quality we love. Bonus: Boat Quay is just a short stroll away if you fancy swapping all that steel for a little waterside warmth.

Good to know: Weeknights after 8pm are quietest. Comfortable shoes for the walking between spots, please!

6. Around Your Wedding Venue

Sometimes the most meaningful backdrop is the one already holding your story. We are big fans of stepping out around your venue as the light fades, whether that is a leafy corner of the garden, the glow of the lobby, or simply the street just outside. No travelling, no fuss, and the place already feels like your day.

7. Tiong Bahru

Romantic garden photoshoot with soft pink bokeh effects and natural lighting.

We will always have a soft spot for Tiong Bahru after dark. Once the streets quieten, those gorgeous art deco walk-ups, with their curved facades and spiral staircases, glow warm under the streetlamps. It is nostalgic, it is intimate, and it is full of that old-Singapore charm we simply cannot get enough of.

Good to know: It is a residential neighbourhood, so keep things low-key and the magic stays undisturbed for everyone.

8. OUE Bayfront

Two people lean out of a yellow vintage train car on railway tracks surrounded by lush greenery.

Now for one of the most loved rooftop spots in the city. Perched high above the CBD, the OUE carpark rooftop hands you a panoramic sweep of the skyline, glass towers, twinkling office lights, the whole lot. It is the kind of open-air vantage point couples seek out for good reason: clean lines, that cool urban edge, and a view that does all the talking.

9. Rooftop/Indoor Carpark

Here is a handy one: most wedding venues come with a carpark, and the top deck is often a hidden gem waiting to be used. Head all the way up and you get open sky, the city skyline stretched out behind you, and that wonderfully moody, urban edge. Bare concrete, painted lines, the glow of streetlights flickering on, it is simple, raw, and unexpectedly romantic. Best of all, there is no travelling involved, just a quick trip up after your celebration.

Good to know: Have a word with your venue about rooftop access, and we will pick a quiet corner of the deck to work our magic.

"As someone who has always admired NKP’s work, I still remember writing in my notes two years ago that I wanted to engage NKP at least once in my life. But with Allah’s plans, two years later in 2026, when my now-husband and I began our wedding preparations, engaging NKP was one of the very first decisions we made. In fact, it was one of the easiest items to check off our list because we already knew who we wanted. We are grateful to have had the opportunity to work with the NKP team. "
